Summary:
Taylor Hall, a local pro to Highland Country Club, wins the Highland Classic. On a week where shot placement to both fairways and greens was a premium, Hall did both well. The Highland Country Club is a historic landmark dating back to its' beginning back in 1922. Partly designed by Donald Ross this tough layout tested the nerves of all the players with the Club's very fast, crowned greens. Hall was two shots behind day one leader Rick Cochran lll but on day two it was all Hall. |

Mark Silvers leads wire to wire and wins the Crystal Lake Classic. This is Mark's sixth win on the PSPGT in 2011. After an opening round of sixty-five, Silvers followed it with a sixty-six. This score of thirteen under, one-hundred thirty-one was good enough for a two shot victory over Jay McLuen. "I spotted Mark to many shots on the front to recover." McLuen says about the final round. McLuen shot thirty-six on the front nine but then posted a thirty-one on the back for a 67. |
Week 23 |
